Preliminary Study of NFRP-Confined Concrete for Enhancing Compressive Strength

Earthquake that occurred within a period of several years may be caused reinforced concrete column fails to maintain its performance. Reinforcement methods improve the quality in resisting earthquake loads are needed. Strengthening with external restraints is expected increase strength concrete. The use synthetic Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) as composite material for restraint on structures one materials has been widely used strengthening structures. Considering environmental impact, natural FRP have developing nowadays. One fibers researched and Natural (NFRP) abaca fiber. This research aims find contribution fiber increasing compressive confined preliminary study.
